Features of our Work
All FLF work is rooted in sound, academic domain knowledge, and global research, as well as learnings from the actual field. We design our approaches and materials keeping in mind their wider diffusion and application in varying socio-cultural contexts. We conduct our own pilot projects in the field in order to gain evidence of what works or doesn’t work, which includes feedback based on the experience of trainers, anganwadi workers, and teachers in the classroom.
Monitoring and Assessment
At FLF, we believe that effective monitoring and assessment are crucial for the success of any project. Our comprehensive approach ensures that we understand the needs of our stakeholders, track progress accurately, and evaluate outcomes effectively. Here’s how we do it:
Need Assessments
Understanding the specific needs of our target population is the first step in our process. Through detailed need assessments, we gather critical information about the challenges and requirements of the community. This helps us design interventions that are both relevant and impactful.
Baseline Assessments
Before implementing any project, we conduct baseline assessments to establish a clear starting point. This involves collecting data on key indicators that will be used to measure progress over time. Baseline assessments provide a benchmark against which future performance can be compared.
Formative Assessments
Throughout the project lifecycle, we conduct formative assessments to monitor ongoing activities and make necessary adjustments. Both monitoring and formative assessments provide valuable inputs and help us identify what is working well and what needs improvement, ensuring that we stay on track to achieve our goals.
Endline Assessments
At the conclusion of a project, we perform endline assessments to evaluate its overall impact. By comparing endline data with baseline data, we can measure the effectiveness of our interventions and identify lessons learned. This final step is essential for reporting outcomes to stakeholders, donors and planning future initiatives.
Partnerships
Through networks and alliances with Government Organizations, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Corporates (CSR), and Donor Agencies, we help build large-scale capacities in the core focus areas of FLF, impacting lakhs of children, young adults, parents, and teachers. Our partnerships with these agencies to help better implementation of projects to improve the quality of learning and sustainability for disadvantaged children and young adults.
